Taking inspiration from Pop, Jazzs, Reggae and Funk, Steve Appleton has an ear for a tune and an eye for an incredible live show and wrote and produced his entire album. Debut single Dirty Funk is an opportunity to listen to all of those styles at once; charismatic pop which combines the melodic vibes of your favourite singer songwriters with frenetic drum n bass and modern urban storytelling. To summarise; think Jack Johnson produced by Pendulum by way of Mike Skinner. Sounds a mouthful, but somehow it all works very well indeed.
